We designed three wooden utensils specifically for use with our Great Jones kitchenware. This curated set contains just the essentials: an oversized ladle (perfect for soup), a spatula for getting those cheesy bits out from the corners, and a slotted spoon for taste-testing pasta.
Plus, we’ve partnered with The Coy Collection— a small, Black-owned ceramics studio based in Austin — on the third edition in our series of collaborative spoon rests with small makers. (We’ve also added mugs and utensil holders, too!) Please allow for natural variation in finish and shape, as these are handmade. First come, first serve — limited quantity!

The wood utensils are hand-wash only.
We recommend regularly treating your utensils with a food-safe oil to ensure a smooth finish, keep moisture in, and reduce staining. Food-safe mineral oil is our preferred wood maintenance oil.
Spoon rests are dishwasher-safe. If scratch marks start to build up, they can be gently buffed out with Bar Keepers Friend friend or a similar mild abrasive. As with all ceramic designs, it may shatter if you drop it, and don’t set a hot ceramic piece on a cold surface or it will split.
The nostalgia of cooking with my grandpa mixed with improved practicality for ease of use. We have enjoyed this set for the last month and are using daily.
The design of these Whole Grain Family utensils is beautiful. They are visually contemporary and elegant. I would be interested in purchasing other items with this designer.
