We combined the best elements of a deep sauté pan and a skillet in one versatile 10-inch design. Deep Cut is deep enough that liquid won’t splash out when you’re braising, but the sides are sloped — not straight — so you can toss onions in the air with confidence.

I purchased this set plus the Large Fry about a month ago. I am absolutely in love. Everything cooks so evenly, the non-stick is the best I have ever used (especially for eggs), and I love the lined measurements in the pots. I want more Great Jones! My wish list would be a 12-inch non-stick (with lid), a smaller Saucy, maybe 1 or 2 quarts, and a steamer basket insert for the Saucy. Oh, and a cabinet organizer because I want it all! Highly recommend!
Just the pan I need to fry, saute, and braise. Best of all, it even goes in the oven up to 500 degrees. Because it is so beautiful I have been skipping a serving dish, bringing the pan to the table and serving from pan to plate.
I really love this pan, but I will share some thoughts I have about it here that I wish I knew before purchasing:
It's a heavy pan. I am an able-bodied, active person, and this pan is heavy for me to lift and, say, pour out leftovers into a container for storage. The handles on the lid and side (the small ones) get very hot, making a kitchen towel a must when using this pan. The walls of the pan make flipping things challenging sometimes, but other times they are truly great for sauteing. I have this pan and a Saucy, and I get by just fine cooking for one as long as I don't make too much food at once. When I have to cook without my Great Jones pans, I wish I was cooking in them. I have never wished I was cooking in a pan that wasn't my Great Jones pan while I was using it (except for when I accidentally make too much pasta!).
