To maintain the nonstick seasoning, occasionally season your skillet: dry your skillet thoroughly, rub vegetable oil or fat over the interior surface, and place it in an oven at low heat for the oil to seep in.
I purchased this for the size and the color and because I had already had a Dutchess and wanted matching color. Used it for the first time this week to make hashbrowns. It is my first cast iron pan. Looking forward to using it for other things.
